John Gabriel Borkman, like everyone else, is flawed. After a scandal while working as a banker, he self-imposes his own isolation and lonliness in an attempt to make up for the incident. This play explores the darker tendencies of human nature, with plenty of drama, served in Ibsen's signature style.
