Awful. It's written like a movie would be written, and hard to follow along with. I did not like it and wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I read this sophomore year for my English class, but kids in my school started reading it around 5th grade. Appropriate for middle school kids and older. The book is about an African American teenage boy who awaits his trial in prison after being accused of committing murder after a robbery gone wrong. 1 star.
