Books were a kind of magic everywhere. This is a love letter to books and chosen families which alone makes this a treasure. But put together with the extraordinary writing and characters that touch the reader with finding themselves, finding their way, their struggle... Especially Hero and Ramiel (do I ship? HELL YEAH!) are two fluffballs who deserves every good thing that comes their way. Claire and Brev were more likeable in the first book, but they made some progress towards the ending that went in the right direction. I loathed Probity from the very first appearance. The story was a bit odd at times but I still really enjoyed this and I'll be back for more. Just let me know when and where!
