Unglaublich anstrengend zu lesen. Ich habe mich echt eine Woche gezwungen reinzukommen und habe es letztendlich abgebrochen. Die Charaktere waren sehr flach und ich habe überhaupt nicht geblickt was in den jeweiligen Szenen vor sich geht 🥲 vielleicht liegt es an mir.. 1,5/5 ⭐️🫖💐🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The choice of love interest in this book took me by surprise again, which I'm not sure why it did, considering Ballentine had become the love interest in book #2 after his unflattering introduction in book #2. I did enjoy getting to know him though, despite some of his more questionable choices (especially towards Hattie in the beginning). The ending, too, took my by surprise, but it was very satisfying and please me much more than the expected ending would have, as the actual ending is very true to the theme of this book series, as well as Hattie's character. All in all as much of a lovely read as the two previous books. Every single one of this series has me falling equally deeply in love with it.
