Ich bin beeindruckt, wie gut dieses Buch geschrieben ist. Eine solch komplexe Geschichte mit detailliertem Worldbuilding und dem Zusammenhang zu historischen Ereignissen/Personen in einen Band zu packen, ohne große Lücken in der Logik oder dem Lesefluss zu erzeugen, beweist wie viel Arbeit dahinter steckt.

3.5 I think if I read it at another time and not in the midst of a seasonal depression, it might have had 4 Star potential. I liked that the book took its time to depict Anastasias childhood and upbringing, that way I had a better understanding on why she wants the Romanov family to stay in power. While I enjoyed it, I definitely understand why some say it has its lengths. Admittedly, my only knowledge about Anastasia comes from the animated movie, so I cannot say anything about the historcial accuracy. To me, with the incorporation of magic, it did not want to be accurate. (Kind of like the Netflix Winx series- same names and locations but also different.) At one point I was waiting for things, I expected to happen (the attack on the family) and felt it took a long time to get there. Moreover, I don't know how I feel about the introduction of vampires . I think to me, it would have done better with "just" magic. The last 20% threw me off,too which can be explained by my own preference of not liking the travelling back in time to bring back the dead and saving the day trope, most times. I think people who are interested in more novels about Anastasia will enjoy it, in contrast to the a rom-com like movie adaptation, this one has a more serious undertone. I do not regrett, reading the book. It is just after waiting almost a week before writing the review, nothing really stuck to me and left a long time impression.

Dieses Buch ist ein Meisterwerk! Da ich selber ein riesen Fan des Zeichentrickfilms bin, war ich sehr gespannt, was Sophie da gezaubert hat. Es hat mich nicht eine Sekunde gelangweilt. Die Geschichte hat soviel zu bieten, es ist unglaublich. Es war spannend und interessant, von vorne bis hinten. Und die Message des Buches ist einfach so großartig. Es ist ein dickes Buch, aber es lohnt sich. Zwischendurch wird es sehr düster, das war schwer zu ertragen weils einfach schlimm war. Aber das gehört zu der Geschichte eben dazu. Ich liebe es!

Die Geschichte von Anastasia Romanov in dieser Variante war ein wahres Jahreshighlight für mich. Ich liebe den Zeichentrickfilm aber ich war auch schon immer fasziniert von der tragischen Geschichte der Familie Romanov. Dieses Buch mischt Geschichte mit Magie und Liebe und kreiert eine wunderschöne, spannende und absolut neue Erzählung.

Ende war disappointing Sonst hab ich es echt gemocht, war Eine wirklich schöne story mit viel potential aber durch dass ende würde es kein Buch sein dass ich meinen freunden empfehlen würde. Was wirklich schade ist da es Eine schöne story mit tollen charakteren, dual pov, fantasy, trauer, kämpfen, romance, ein bisschen smut und sogar Bilder von besonderen Szenen hat, was mich echt gefreut hat. Trotzdem ein gutes Buch und ich bereue es nicht es gelesen zu haben.
