After the utter perfection that was the previous book, I was afraid this book wouldn't be able to beat it, and I was right. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but insta-love or "soulmates" (Looking at you, every fae mating bond ever) is my most hated trope in romance books, and this book was insta-love from the start. However, despite that, it was really enjoyable, and the overarching plot was fantastic. I loved seeing everyone unite their strengths for a common cause. I'm dropping one star for the insta-love though. I do want to read more books by this author if they're as enjoyable as this series has been.
