Ahhhhhh this was so good!!! What a perfect finale to the trilogy! The third book starts two months after the events of the second book. Opal‘s life is in chaos and she is stuck with her recovering father. The forced proximity of these two was delightful! I loved the way they got to know each other! I feel this story was so relateable because everyone felt misunderstood by their parents at one point in their life. I had expected this book would lean into the romance between Nick and Opal but was pleasantly surprised by the route it took. I’m just so blown away by this and as much as I loved the ending I hope we will see these characters at some point again! Please!!!! The audiobook narration and book covers of this trilogy were also fantastic. I’m definitely going to look into Rachel Aaron’s other works asap!
