This is just me being a little disappointed. But I also know myself and I'm not really the type for short stories so... I remember loving the original series (but with the short visits with these characters I might just postpone the reread that I have been wanting to do forever because most of them annoyed the hell out of me) but this was just all so fast (short stories, duh!) and I didn't have time to adjust to anything. Martha is a pain, so her and Sam's story was a bust for me, Mae came completetly out of the blue and her love interest didn't ring any bells either. Adam and Jill were nice enough, at least their story didn't just happen, they had history. The stories about Mal and Anne were mostly me cringing about Mal's behavoir and her willingness to deal with him...
