I got this book for free from the author and it's not what I usually read but it had me hooked it's dark in Origin but you are intrigued to find out what happens so much so that I quickly bought the next two in the series and pre -ordered the next installment. You are left wondering if the dad guys are the good and the good the bad.

I'm speechless. I read this book back in 2016, dnf-ed it and gave it 2 stars. This year, I decided to give new chances to books I once gave up on. And I thought myself crazy getting into this story. I couldn't remember anything about the book but I loved it. I genuinely loved this story, thinking with two other books we would get a redeeming arc for H and a real love story for h. I also have a tendancy of reading reviews a lot before choosing a book. I'd rather get spoiled and know I'll like it than stumble upon, let's say, cheating. Uh. I didn't read any reviews before getting into this book. Mistakes were made SPOILER : there is cheating in the book. But, to me, it's worst than that. There's cheating and then there 'he called her his beloved' cheating. Get my drift? I hate cheating but if the book is good enough and the cheater really shows me it was a mistake and stuff, I might get past it. Here, it's a no-go. Just so you don't have to : SPOILER FOR THE TWO SEQUELS I read some reviews and I'm going to believe them because I sure as heck ain't reading them for myself, the H never gets rid of the mistress and her presence is never really explained. None of the world is really explained either, what was the goal of H is destroying the society? And last but not least, she commits suicide and he dies. This book is a great read, until he cheats and then it goes to sh*t. 1 star.
