I could hand her my wallet and wouldn’t be disappointed
Let’s talk about Benji by N.R. Walker ⭐️ 4,5/5 Listen, at this point I should just hand N.R. Walker my wallet and say “here, take my money and my free time” because I always end up hooked. Never once rated one of her books under 4 stars, and Benji keeps the streak alive. Benji and Nolan? Absolute perfection. The chemistry, the humor, the backstories — chef’s kiss. It’s one of those books where the characters don’t just fit, they click. Like, not only in the spicy department (though yes, thank you for that), but also in the “let’s laugh about stupid things” and “understand each other without trying” department. I lived for their dynamic. But… (you knew there’d be a but 👀) no book is 100% flawless, right? My one tiny gripe: you’re telling me you let a guy stay in your flat for a whole week, you know he’s lying about his name, and you just… don’t ask? Not once? Sorry, but if I know someone is using a fake name in my kitchen, I’m at least bringing it up between coffee and toast. Nolan, my dude, curiosity didn’t kill the cat here — your cat was probably more suspicious than you. Still — small hiccups aside — this was such a cozy, heartfelt read. N.R. Walker once again proved she knows how to grab me by the feelings and not let go.
