Leider überhaupt nicht mein Geschmack. Die Geschichte zieht sich sehr und ist am Ende nicht wirklich geklärt. Angeblich gibt es einen zweiten Teil, den werde ich aber nicht lesen.
So this book could've been good, I love kind of slice of life books but the book needs to make it interesting... This book mostly only focuses on Echo and Hawk, which isn't bad if both of them weren't so bland. And if there weren't so many inconsistencies. Echo is supposed to be this traumatized young woman who lived her whole life in abuse but she doesn't have any trauma? It's said she's overly thin in the beginning, but it doesn't translate any other way, not in the way she eats, not in the way she behaves. Also the way she reacts doesn't make any sense overall, she behaves like a normal young woman, not like she was abused and shelttered, which good for her! But why give her this backsotry if she wasn't going to be written accordingly? Make her a kidnapped girl, leaving in a bad clan/sleuth whatever, where females aren't respected and she's somewhat on the sidelines but not... this abused. it's not coherent. Also, Hawk's clan story didn't make sense. It's like the beginning of the book was written and the author changed their mind midway through, all of a sudden the clan was in bad shape. Whatever, the incensistencies really made this hard to read, same with the mate thing, are the fated mates or can Echo just find a new mate wtf Moving on
