If only he peed on the side of the road, like every other man....

At so many points of the story could all of this have been preventable, but the main character decided to be a total Idiot. About halfway through I actually hoped for this Idiot to die, but nope, he can't even get this right. I just feel bad for his (actual) wife... Infuriating.
