like 2.5 mayyybe but idk. also very very hard to read. i do feel like laura's characterisation fits well, but as enlightening or disturbing this is supposed to be, it doesn't leave any mark and is imo pretty forgettable? i don't really see the point of the book either when nothing new or otherwise insightful is revealed and fire walk with me already does such a perfect job of telling a truly haunting backstory. obviously there's no plot-related suspense here since we already know what happens, but i dont feel like the book makes up for that with anything else. the writing was okay ig. didnt particularly read like most of it was supposed to be written by a 12-15yo, and towards the end it's rushed and felt like she was trying to include as many TP references and sex scenes (for shock value?) as possible. it's inconsistently paced, a bit repetitive and every character other than laura is incredibly flat - which all makes sense, given it's a teenager's diary and all that, but it doesn't exactly make the reading experience any more interesting.
