Persönlich hätte ich es nie aufgegriffen. Die ersten Kapitel haben mich auch nicht überzeugt oder abgeholt. Die letzten Seiten haben mich sehr mitgenommen und berührt. Too close to home, was es für mich zum absoluten Favoriten macht. Auch wenn es einige Packungen Taschentücher gebraucht hat und viel Kraft es dann jetzt zu Ende zubringen.

Well, that was cute! This book is about Clara and Teddy, who are both history professors who have known each other a very long time. They both met each other seventeen years ago at camp and their story started ever since. This book jumps between the present and the past - showing us the development of their friendship and relationship. I randomly picked up this book from the library and I really liked it because it was so thin hahah. It was nice for a quick read! Nothing special or extraordinary but still a nice and sweet quick read for in between. Clara and Teddy matched really well.. they had a nice chemistry from the start. If I’m being honest, I couldn’t really befriend the writing style especially in the beginning. Nothing much to say otherwise (:

Ich habe wirklich lange probiert das Buch zu mögen. Aber irgendwann hat sich das Gefühl eingestellt, dass man sich im Kreis dreht. Die Geschichte hat nicht an Fahrt aufgenommen. Deshalb habe ich entschieden das Buch nun doch abzubrechen. Vielleicht versucht man es nochmal im Herbst mit der richtigen Stimmung?
