Two young children accused of a gruesome crime, a highly dysfunctional family full of secrets - exactly what I enjoy in a good thriller! "The Silent Ones" had me on the edge of my seat and I flew through it. I liked the claustrophobic atmosphere, the feeling, that everyone knew more than they let on... Four stars because I felt the ending was a bit too much and too rushed: one huge, plot-twisting revelation after the next, all in the course of a few pages. But all in all a great, entertaining read!
