During my time in Rome I visited soo many beautiful bookshops! „Two women in Rome“ was the first book I bought <3 . I was amazed by Nina’s and Lottie’s characters, their destinies and how they handled them. Especially, how they are interwoven. Towards the end one got a clearer picture of the mysterious, multi-faceted Nina. Moreover, the love story between her and Leo was so fateful, but also affectionate and formative. There are some metaphorical phrases in Nina’s journal that touched me. Overall, the story is brilliantly plotted and gives some information about Italy’s historic and political background, too. Personally, I enjoyed immersing myself with Italian vibes and am proud to recognise some places in Rome mentioned in the book :)
