Even if we think we're uncovering the past, what we are really doing is reconstructing it, adding our own flesh to old bones. Unfortunately, I had to DNF this book. I loved the beginning of this it but it dragged on and on and on. At the 41% percent mark, I have had enough and went on Wikipedia to read about this case. I felt so lost because I couldn't see where she was going. There was too much about herself and not enough about the case. She went back and forth the entire time and the book was all over the place. The only people I want to hear talking about true crime cases are Shane Madej and Ryan Bergara. Others fail to make it interesting.
