Rating:2

I had to think about my rating for quite a while. What made me give it mere two stars was the realization that I had to push myself to read the last third so much. I didn't want to dnf, but I was super close many times. And that is never a good sign. I did not connect with Maggie at all. It was easier to understand why Courtney was someone you could fall in love with. But Maggie was so bland and non-descriptive, it made it hard to feel the connection between them. Also, I really really don't like it when characters' motivations have to be / are made obvious. She behaved like this and that, because... She felt this and that, because... Most of the conflicts Maggie and Courtney were so spelled out, I did not have a chance to actually FEEL it. So disappointed.
