Rating: 4.5/5 I remember hearing about Saga years ago & had it on my TBR ever since. Finally got around to it & read the first volume in one go. It was so fun to read & the creativity?? I had multiple moments in which that really blew me away. Love the art style, love the story, very much looking forward to the next volume!

You know that feeling after you finish a graphic novel (which took you no time to read) and you want to know how the story continues, but... It's a damn long series? And the price and the time it takes to read it do not add up? I always face this dilemma when I finish a first graphic novel in a series. It was immensely creative - the pictures as well as the story itself. It's sci-fi, but innovative and with lots of space to grow even better. Also, the combination - eternal war, space exploration and young parents - is just brilliant. Read it - but be warned: You will want to know how it continues.

Well, the art style is stunning! And Sci-Fi continues to offer the best playground for metaphors about racism. In space. The whole thing is pretty dope! The subplots come together easily, without taking up plenty of space. In addition to that, Sci-Fi's creativity impresses me even more, when someone found the means to depict those fantasies. So this is really the perfect marriage of genres!

Ich habe nie viele Comics gelesen, außer in meiner Kindheit und Jugend. Tim und Struppi waren meine Favoriten. Jetzt erst greife ich zum ersten Mal wieder nach einen Comic, nachdem ich hier auf GR die guten Bewertungen zu diesem gelesen habe. Die Bewertungen zu Saga sind sehr gut, aber für mich war es nichts Herausragendes. Nette Unterhaltung. Vielleicht bin ich eben doch keine Comic Leserin... Allerdings habe ich mir den zweiten Band schon besorgt. Die Geschichte im ersten Band endet ja ziemlich abrupt und ich bin doch neugierig geworden, wie es weitergeht. Mal sehen, wie mir der nächste Band gefällt.
