Fantastischer Abschluss einer insgesamt grandiosen und spannenden Fantasy-Reihe. Die Charakte, insbesondere Glokta dan Sand, sind wahrlich interessant geschrieben und ich habe nahezu jede Seite förmlich verschlungen. Hat mir wieder meine Liebe zum Fantasy-Genre gezeigt und mir ein paar köstliche Lesestunden bereitet.

Here just some thought for the whole series: I finally came around to read the whole First Law Trilogy and as so many others I really enjoyed it. In comparison the first book was really slow and was more of a set up for what followed, so if you didn't enjoy the start just push through to the next one. Brilliant grim dark fantasy, with unusual protagonists, that make these books really stick out. I loved the ending of book two and had to laugh when Abercrombie made a mockery of a very common fantasy archetype. Book three felt compared to the other two a bit cramped and too fast, but nevertheless a great ending, after which I'm very eager to read the additional books in this universe.
