Late Victorian England and magic? Sign me up. The MCs are cute and have a solid background, a slow forming relationship between them keeps them together. The magis system is interesting, yet lacks a little explanation here and there. The only problem I had was with pacing and story telling. The middle of the book was a little slow moving for me, but the ending sets us up beautifully for the second book.
