A crumbling manor with a crumbling third act.

The aesthetic of this book is so cozy. a crumbling, slightly sentient faerie manor overgrown with moss and drenched in post-WWI grief. Mouse is easy to root for, the emotional moments around trauma and healing feel quiet but real, and Thornwood being an insufferably handsome arrogant fae is everything i needed. but here’s the thing: this is a slow book, like genuinely slow , and if you’re not a cozy girlie you will feel it. and then after all that patient buildup, the ending rushes in feeling almost hasty , which… rude?? also the world feels a bit limited because the story barely ventures beyond the estate itself.
