So I Met This Guy…

This story truly was an adventure in more ways than I expected it to be going into it. An adventure through the most beautiful places in Europe, but also one through life, love and female friendships. Maggie and Flick were such a great pair and even though they couldn't have been more different, they found something that truly connects all women across the world in some way or another - the desire to bring bad men to their knees. Their character growth was so empowering and entertaining to watch. It was at times funny, inspirational and relatable. I formed a bond with them and yearned to join them for a sunset drink on the Almafi Coast. The storyline of catching a romance fraudster was something I've never seen done before in a book and it had so much potential. It made for a great edge-of-your-seat story and had some unexpected twists and turns I really liked. The only minor thing that kept me from rating it a perfect 5 star read was the pacing, because while it was perfectly balanced for most of the book, the ending felt a bit too slow and dragged out for me. Nonetheless, this book was a delight and I highly recommend it for everyone that is looking for a charming, relatable and empowering story about two women finding themselves and their power with the gorgeous european summertime as their backdrop. Huge thanks to Pan Macmillan for this early copy!
