"Remember - magic is a cheater's game, and everyone who sees it wants to play." Oh my... I was totally bewitched by the synopsis. Magic, France at Marie Antoinette's time, pretending to be an aristrocrat... That should've been worthy of love, right?! Well. I'm sorry but I couldn't bring myself to love it. Camille wasn't my kind of character, neither was Sophie or Alain but I kind of liked Lazare and Chandon. The writing style was difficult for me, I really had to force myself to read on at times. I don't want to say that this book isn't good. I bet there are plenty of bookworms out there who will love it. I just wasn't the right kind of reader for Enchantée.
