Apparently I missed the movie/show (?) that links the end of Descendants 1 with the beginning of Descendants 2 but due to the fact that the events happening between those two novels are explained quite well it was easy to keep track. I am not too sure which book I enjoyed more - Return to the Isle of the Lost had less of these funny and lovely details I liked while reading the first novel, though I enjoyed the adventure in this one more. If you've read my review to The Isle of the Lost you know that i struggled with the quest our heros ... er, villains where on. This time I found the quest rather interesting. Furtheremore I liked the whole idea of the villain-kids turning into heros and trying to defend their new-found home. Personally, I didn't particularly like the ending but I am really looking forward to the next Descendants novel. I really wanna know how Jay, Evie, Mal and Carlos cope with their parents (especially Carlos. Cruella sure as hell is intimidating!)
