A quick and easy read, with likeable characters and settings. I honestly didn’t expect a lot from this book, since I hadn’t heard of the author and the storyline didn’t seem to be anything special, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The writing style was enjoyable and engaging, with sequences of the lost senior letters scattered throughout the dual-POV perspective. While the story only spanned over 24 hours, it didn’t feel rushed. More or less every character had their part and a little bit of backstory, which impressed me, due to the limited length of the book. The main and side characters felt sincere and the romance part was cute. Even the references of “modern dialogue” didn’t seem forced, even though I normally despise those. Overall, perfect for getting out of a slump or for anyone who feels like they need a heartfelt, delightful story without committing to a long series!
