I've read a couple of Leia Stones books. But this book had me on my toes the whole time. This is the kind of book you pick up and YOU CAN'T STOP READING! I'm warning you, I had to work the next day, but I just couldn't stop. So I read the whole book in one sitting till 3 am. I have read quite a lot of smiliar fantasy, but Leia Stones gives it her own touch. All the characters are likeable - I hate it when you want to slap the main character all the time, because she acts stupid - but Brielle is awesome. I also loved all the side characters, her best friend was my favorite :) I liked the fact that the romance story wasn't the main part of the book. We got to explore a lot of the society and workings of this new world, too. But of course you get some hot guys ! I can't wait for the next books and see how Brielle is growing and see more of her world and her friends!

Die Einhörner meiner Kindheitsträume waren tot. Geschlachtet. (Celestial City: Akademie der Engel Jahr 1 – Leia Stone)“ Ich fand das Buch super gut und ich musste es direkt an einem Tag durch lesen. Mir gefällt die Aufmachung und das Cover des Buches sehr. Die Autorin hat einen sehr humorvollen Schreibstil, was sehr angenehm zu lesen ist. Das Buch wird aus der Perspektive der Protagonistin Brielle geschrieben, welche wie ich finde absolut zur Geschichte passt. Die Protagonisten lernt man im laufe der Geschichte alle weitestgehend kennen, aber der Fokus liegt auf Brielle und Lincoln. Mir hat außerdem das Thema des Buches unglaublich gut gefallen, Dämonen und gefallene Engel, Krieg, ein besonderes Mädchen, eine Lovestory und so vieles mehr was begeistert. Wie ich finde ist Celestial Academy Jahr 1 ein richtig guter dystopischer Fantasyroman, der Spannung aufbaut und gleichzeitig einen zum Lachen bringt. Ich würde das Buch auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen, da es mich absolut in den Bann gerissen hat und ich kann es kaum Erwarten den 2. Teil demnächst zu lesen. Ich hoffe ich werde mit meiner ersten Rezension hier, dem Buch gerecht. :)
