i'm actually surprised how much I liked this book! i expected a run-of-the-mill paranormal romance and though it has some typical pr tropes in it, it is also a very engaging fantasy-adventure story. i especially liked the world-building and it took a slightly different approach to vampirism. also i liked the steampunk elements! thanks to the good writing the world was described very imaginative without being to wordy. tbh i skipped through the sex scenes. being a paranormal romance there obviously had to be some steamy stuff in the book, but i found that it didn't add anything to the story.
