Iiiiiiii don’t know how to raaaaaaaate this… Struggling with Manhunt so much apparently made me want to sus out my ability to do horror. And so I went to a medium I usually vibe well with. Hence, manga. Now, this is my second Junji Ito and this was way better than the short story collection I read before. But. I don’t wanna say I’m bored per se, the visuals of where to find spirals are super imaginative (even though some made me laugh more than anything) and there were a few eerie panels, but I don’t feel a visceral reaction. I don’t worry for the protagonists, one way or the other. So, visually stunning, plot wise feeling a bit lukewarm. CNs for death, obsession as mental illness, some body horror
