This volume provides another story, where the reader is thrilled with the question, if there is more supernatural stuff going on in the world of "Ex Machina", when a standard court trial goes wrong. And then it's flashback time with a tale about the protagonist's family. I really enjoyed both stories, even though the conclusion feels a little cheap.
