“I think we talk about happiness all wrong. As if it’s this fixed state we’re going to reach. Like we‘ll just be able to live there forever. But that’s not my experience with happiness. For me it comes and goes. It shows up and then disappears like a bubble.“

“The Wedding People” covers the topics of friendship, love and humor. What I liked best about this book was definitely the dry humor (especially of Jim and Phoebe) and also in general I really enjoyed the characters in this book. Phoebes characters development was perfectly written and I loved the full circle moment of how Phoebe left the hotel as a different person with a new mindset and new friends as she entered it. A light read with a lovely setting. But I probably would recommend it to read it in summer as it’s more of a summer setting and vibe. But I definitely also enjoyed it reading in winter;)
