Vier Freunde auf einer Mission ihre Elementkraft zu befreien, um so die Dunkelheit zu bekämpfen. Fantasy vermischt mit Sci-fi und Urban Fantasy Elementen. Tolles Jugendfantasy Buch, mit Freunden, die super kommunizieren können und ganz ohne unnötige Teenager Dramen auskommen! Sehr magisch und hat mich teilweise an Percy Jackson und die Freundesgruppe aus Harry Potter erinnert. „Gemeinsam sind wir am stärksten“ war hier ganz klar das Motto! Schöne Charaktere, die alle ihre eigenen Themen haben und alle ihre Zeit zum strahlen bekommen! Tolle Darstellung verschiedener Typen und ein toller offener Umgang mit Gefühlen. Für mich keine vollen 5 Sterne, weil ich mir am Ende noch einen letzten Plottwist oder ein großes Ereignis gewünscht hätte. Da es aber das erste Buch einer Reihe ist, wurde sich das vermutlich für den nächsten Teil aufgespart. Den Epilog sollte man am Ende auf jeden Fall lesen, da er einen kleinen Ausblick für die weitere Geschichte gibt! Es ist eine schöne Welt und die vier Jugendliche sind wirklich toll! Da das Buch auch komplett ohne Spice auskommt, ist es ein tolles Buch für 12 bis 20 jährige.

Typically I do like YA fantasy (and books in general) although I’m a bit too old for them. But this one I didn’t really like. It just happens way too much stuff maybe because younger readers want to see that wo not drift off? For me it felt rushed and immature and I couldn’t connect to the characters because of this. There were too little scenes surrounding the characters and their traits. I did really like the beginning tho, where we get to know Alex and his struggles. I would have liked the book if it would have gone that route the whole book

Absoluty DEVOURED this book! I love everything about it, the characters, setting, psychological aspects in it, the world and world building, the friendship, the slow burn love AND FINALLY TEENAGERS THAT ACT LIKE TEENAGERS👏 The writing style is easy to follow, I also loved the plotting a lot. If English is NOT your strongest suit, I would recommend reading other books in English before trying this one, otherwise, if your English is pretty decent, you'll won't have much problem following.🤗 One of my highlights this year, I can't wait for the next book in the series!
