read this as a part of a buddy read in one sitting. it's your typical fake dating rich meets poor "i never kiss. i don't want love" love story. salvatore has a really easy to read, easy going writing style and let's be honest: you don't need big brain energy for romance books. big parts of the story were obvious from the beginning, most of them revealed themselves to the reader before they were revealed to the characters but i felt like the main characters used their brains for a change (i have the feeling most romance main characters don't see the most obvious things) i enjoyed reading this

Kicking off Pride Month with a lovely book about a Plant Daddy falling in love with a S*x Worker.
I absolutely adored this book and the characters are a bit like a comfortable gang you can lean back on. The plot was full of love, healing and allowing yourself to be with the one you fall in love with. No matter the conditions or circumstances. I fell in love with Teddy and Cole and I desperately want to give them a hug. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 4 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀? ⭐ The characters and story made me fall for them! I would definitely read this book again just to feel as happy as I did in the moment. The characters were all loving and I learned a lot of new things whilst reading.
Simply fantastic
Fake dating turns safe space romance with body positivity, destigmatization and Sex positivity !
I think reverse Pretty Woman is actually a pretty good comp title :D It just layered more drama atop that premise and wanted to touch on a whole lot of things which is why this relatively short book feels a bit messy, but was also super addicting to read, because there's plot upon cuddles upon sex upon drama upon miscommunication all around. (had I rated it immediately after finishing it, it would've been 4, this had me hooked enough to completely throw a complete night's sleep out the window, oops) Regarding sex work, I feel it has the heart at a sex positive place, but it also was not satisfactorily nuanced. Especially when the sexual assault is described by the character that it happened to (who is a male sex worker, which just needed a little more space, I think. Also HUGE CN for that scene, I wasn't prepared and it was a tough pill to swallow). Overall, bit delulu, very romance escapism of the world goes okay in the end on all fronts, I didn't know I liked 5 years later epilogues until this was missing one :D Also, Kirt Graves read one of the dual perspectives and that was the severest case of adjusting I had to do for an actor that read different audiobooks, because I already spent so much time with him in another world :D CNs: explicit sexual content, financial struggles, sexual assault, estranged family, discussions of cheating and divorce, intrusive investigative journalism, themes of deceit/betrayal/secrecy/trust issues, financially imbalanced love interests
