Cute vacation read

It's a very nice read, for me it was a bit exhausting. It has some flashback chapters, that made me mad because it's about the first time they were together and you read them with the knowledge of the break up. I got very emotional and felt everything, I was mad and sad on their behalf. This book has a lot of feeling. But all in all I like the project they do together, they go through some tough times and the baggage they both carry, that always sets them back a step. At some point they start to talk about their problems and feelings which I enjoyed very much. They always try to lift each other up and support one another, which makes it a very lovely book. It also focuses a lot on losses and grieve and how they dealt with that. They talk about the hardships that follow not only the loss through death but also the loss of people who drift away, where relationships end with parents. It also talks a little about how both parties deal with the drift. Deacon is a golden retriever and always puts her first, while LaRynn is very feisty and strong willed and tries everything to appreciate him.

just wow

so i actually bothered to put together the playlist that was shown in the beginning of the book and just wow. what a beautiful book. the songs fit like perfection. as a tall girl, it’s hard to find representation in romance books. i’ve noticed that the female main characters are often described as „small“ and what not. this? this healed a part of me. this book was absolute perfection. the way they love each other. the way they work through things together instead of randomly splitting up. i want someone to look at me as they blow out the candle on their birthday cake. i wanna be someone’s birthday wish.
