Uff, wow, ja was soll ich sagen. Ich bin sprachlos. Seit langem hat mich keine Reihe, kein Buch mehr so in seinen Bann gezogen. Ich liebe die Protagonisten und ihre Reise zu sich selbst, die Nebencharaktere, selbst die Bösewichte! Teil 2 war von Anfang bis Ende unglaublich angenehm zu lesen, so schön geschrieben mit so vielen kleinen Details, und einer guten Prise Spice! Das letzte Drittel des Buches hat mich auf jeglicher Ebene gebrochen. So viele WTF-Momente hatte ich selten in einem Buch & ich liebe alles daran! Absolute Empfehlung - freue mich auf die nächsten Bände!

Dieses Buch hatte mich fast die ganze Zeit in nem chokehold. Erste Hälfte: kaum Zeit um mal Luft zu holen. Zweite Hälfte: wurde es ruhiger & emotionaler & das musste auch so kommen. Phänomenal geplottet und geschrieben. Falls ihr ein Buch mit feminine rage, all-consuming RAGE! 💥🔥und einem MMC, who yearns - YEEEEARNS - sucht: fangt diese Reihe an 😭😭

Over all, it is a really good story, with great writing, great worldbuilding and great characters. BUT it could have been wayyyy shorter! It dragged quite a bit and got boring. The last 10% where really gripping and the ending great again. One pet peeve: her nickname for him! Horrible! It sounds like she is calling for her puppy. It was really cringey for me, but hey, everyone is different.

The Throne of Broken Gods setzt direkt nach Band 1 an und hat mich wieder in diese düstere, faszinierende Welt hineingezogen. Die Geschichte ist episch, voller Kämpfe, Intrigen und Emotionen, aber auch durchzogen von stillen Momenten, die mich sehr berührt haben. Dianna ist für mich weiterhin eine sehr spannende Protagonistin. Stark, oft moralisch grau, und dabei so nahbar, dass man einfach mit ihr fühlen muss. Samkiel ist ihr perfektes Gegenstück. Ihre Chemie aber auch die zarten Szenen zwischen ihnen haben mich oft zum Lächeln gebracht. Was ich sehr mochte, war, dass diesmal auch Nebencharaktere stärker in den Vordergrund treten und mehr Tiefe bekommen. Das macht die Welt noch reicher und greifbarer. Auch das Worldbuilding ist wieder beeindruckend detailreich und zieht einen komplett in diese göttlich-düstere Atmosphäre hinein. Mit über 900 Seiten hatte das Buch an wenigen Stellen für mich Längen. Gerade im Mittelteil hätte ich mir etwas mehr Tempo gewünscht. Aber sobald die Handlung wieder Fahrt aufnimmt, konnte ich es nicht mehr aus der Hand legen. Am Ende hat mich das Buch absolut zerstört und trotzdem erfüllt zurückgelassen. Ein würdiger zweiter Band, der alles hat: Spannung, Herzschmerz, moralische Grauzonen und eine Liebesgeschichte, die sich wirklich lohnt.💫

I absolutely love the chemistry and the will they won’t they. I totally adore Diana as a character and adore that they don’t diminish her wrath or try to make her cute. It’s female rage at its best alongside with being flawed and still worthy of being loved and adored. The whole grief storyline is very well written. But it doesn’t overshadow the fantasy plot. And the betrayal is showing up at the end I didn’t see coming.

Holy cow what a ride. Honestly I thought about dnf so many times during the first 60%, but I read that the rest makes up for it and I guess I’m just as stubborn as the FMC. Idk with if really makes up for it, but ones you’re there the first part didn’t seem so bad any more lol. However, most of the book felt so unnecessary for so long, that I really questioned the purpose of it. Sure the trauma is really realistic, but the readers patience has its limits dear author! Also if I have to read one more phrase like “I turned bc I felt like I was being followed” I’m going to loose my shit! This being said, the last 30% kept me on my toes and were sooo exciting with sooooo many revelations, that it’s a given to read the next book. I have to say idk what’s going to happen if there’s still one book coming out this year. I just pray to Unir, that it won’t be unnecessarily dragged in length!

5⭐️2🌶️ I'd give this book 6 stars if I could! I love Dianna. She is definitely in my all time favorite female main characters. I love that we finally get a flawed female MC with a tragic backstory that fully turns her morally grey. She reigns with fire and vengeance and I gobbled it up! I also loved the love Samkiel has for his girl. Man this dude is just golden retriever all day and he is perfect for Dianna. Their banter and chemistry is top notch! I laughed and swooned at how loving and possessive Samkiel is towards Dianna. It was perfect. The emotional development that Dianna went through was so beautifully written. Just perfectly executed. At times I thought she did a 180, from losing her bite and powers and sass, but then you learn why she is resenting that side of her and it kinda makes sense. So yeah it was just *chef's kiss*. Can't forget about Cameron and Xavier's love story. I am so excited to see what's gonna happen in the next book with them. Cause I did not see that plot

Das Buch hatte definitiv einige Längen & es hätte auch kürzer sein können, aaaaber: ich hab jede Seite geliebt. Am Anfang hätte ich mir eine schnellere Charakterentwicklung gewünscht tbh, es war mir ein bisschen zu viel hin und her von Dianna. Im Endeffekt war es aber dann doch gut so, weil es einfach zu ihrem Charakter gepasst hat. Die found family in diesem Buch? Whaaaat - einfach perfekt. Ich liebe Cam, Logan, Neverra!! 😭 solche Mäuseeeeee ach! Ich muss sagen, ich hätte mir noch ein bisschen mehr Kapitel aus der Sicht von anderen Charakteren als dem MCs gewünscht, dann wären es vermutlich 5 Sterne geworden. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 Bin sehr gespannt auf den nächsten Band, was mit allen passiert und wie es weitergeht!
