Dies ist und bleibt das beste Beispiel für eine Slow-Burn Romance. Es ist sehr ausführlich und man merkt das leichte knistern, ab einem bestimmten Seitenzahl. Wie so die Dialoge und auch Auroras Gedanken sich entwickeln und das zwischeneinander. Hat mir wirklich gut gefallen und wird definitiv nicht das letzte Buch von Mariana Zapata gewesen sein. Warum dieses Buch noch nicht übersetzt wurde, verstehe ich zwar nicht, aber für das, dass ich wirklich nicht viel auf Englisch lese, fand ich es gut verständlich.

Wenn ich nur noch ein Buch weiterempfehlen könnte wäre es dieses. Rhodes ist der beste book boyfriend and no I will not argue on that. Scheißt auf alle anderen Bücher die ihr gerade auf eurem SuB habt. Ich zwinge jeden der diese Review liest telepathisch dazu es jetzt(!) anzufangen. Und ja damit meine ich auch mir jeder eine PowerPoint macht und detailliert beschreibt was er an dem Buch gut findet.

das Buch gibt einem das Gefühl als würde man eine Serie mit super vielen Staffeln gucken - in a good way Ich liebe den Kleinstadt Vibe und alles drum herum. Keine Fragen wurden ungelöst gelassen. Habt Geduld my friends Kaden bekommt noch seinen Auftritt und auch das Thema Rund um die Mom wird nochmal aufgenommen😌

Hat mir richtig gut gefallen! Die Lovestory entwickelt sich sehr sehr langsam, aber die Handlung konnte mich so fesseln, dass ich die ganze Zeit weiterlesen wollte. Das Tempo hat auch dafür gesorgt, dass die Story authentisch war und die beiden Protagonisten haben eine tolle Charakterentwicklung durchgemacht. Der Schreibstil hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen. Mariana Zapata schreibt wunderbare Bücher. Ihre Protagonistinnen sind Frauen, die für sich einstehen, die ihren Weg gehen. Es gibt kein unnötiges Drama, was ich sehr schätze. Auch wenn nicht wirklich viel passiert fand ich es immer schade, wenn ich das Buch aus der Hand legen musste, weil ich so gerne weiter gelesen hätte.

4 Sterne, total unterhaltsamer Slowburn. Aurora geht nach einer schmerzhaften Trennung zurück an den Ort in Colorado, an dem sie in ihrer Kindheit ihre Mutter verloren hat. Sie bezieht das Apartment über der Garage von Rhodes und kommt ihm langsam näher. - Emotionale Themen: Trauer überwinden, nach einer toxischen Beziehung sich selbst wiederfinden. - Aurora ist ein Sonnenschein, dem der wortkarge Rhodes sich nicht entziehen kann. Eine fluffige, sweete Annäherung (mit grässlichen Kosenamen). Und auch Auroras wachsende Zuneigung zu Rhodes Teenagersohn Amos war richtig sweet. - Richtig sweet, aber nicht völlig aufregend oder neuartig. Dennoch spürbar mehr nach meinem Geschmack als MZ’s vorheriges Buch.

4.5 stars from me. MZ reminding me once again why she's my favorite writer. I had to take a break to not finish this book in one sitting because I wanted the joy and curiosity to last longer and I wasn't disappointed. Aurora is probably the best heroine in all MZ books or books I've read in general. She made me laugh so many times and I love how honest she is with her feelings. I also love how she handled her Ex and EX-MIL from hell because God knows I would have caused a scandal and taken everything from them. If they go low, I go to hell. Bless Aurora, lol. MZ books have something special that I love. The slow burn, the heroines, the heroes and the fact that she doesn't use Sex/erotica scenes like other writers do. She doesn't overdo it and her stories are always balanced out in a way that's perfect to me. Call me judgy but I can tell who's a good writer by the way they handle (the amount of) sex scenes. I really don't know another writer who comes close to her. The only reason why I couldn't give this 5 stars is because I keep comparing it to TWoWaM and it's slightly behind it. Maybe I'll change the rating to 5* later. All in all it was a very good book, definitely better than the last two. I hope we're getting another book this year because no matter how bad I feel MZ cheer me up all the time

second read review: He calls her 'angel' 21 times and 'sweetheart' 5 times….and I had to actively remind my body to continue functioning after every single one. I also have over SIXTY highlights on my kindle. Safe to say I fainted every time that grump said anything. yes I adore this book even more after the second read. Forget everything I’m going to say about the Kaden-drama storyline. It’s perfect as it is. Not to present. Not too relevant. Cause I want nothing distracting from my three main babes Aurora, Rhodes and Amos longer than necessary. This was perfect. The slowburn was still IMPECCABLE. The grumpiness - not ever been done better. The friendship. Found family. Love. The writing. The connecting with nature. Grieve and Loss. IT HAS IT ALL IN PURE PERFECTION. This is to this day one of her best ones of queen MZ. And I feel bad for giving it 4 stars back then, cause I didn’t really have a problem with anything that significant to omit a whole star. But I somehow did it anyways…. I also was half asleep so maybe there’s the reason. And now we redeem myself and rate it the five stars it deserves. Yes some aspects about the ending conflict could have been executed better but I don’t care, okay? This is so irrelevant for the whole perfection of this book. It doesn’t take away the greatness of it. It deserves its five stars. And today it shall get them from me. And hopefully EVERYONE. 5

Do I have to turn thirty three to meet my Rhodes or can I have him now please? This book had everything I love. Small town and mountains? Check. Hiking? Check. A broody men with dark hair and a fit body? Check. A lovely heroine that doesn’t do stupid stuff just to get the story going? Check. I never thought I was someone for slow burn romance. Was für eine wunderschöne Liebesgeschichte! Kein Drama, keine nervigen Zickereien, kein übertriebener Kitsch ... einfach eine Geschichte mitten aus dem Leben mit wundervoll unperfekten Charakteren. Ich hätte ewig weiterlesen können. Das Buch ist so ein richtig schöner Seelenwärmer mit genau der richtigen Prise Humor und vielen Emotionen.
