Actionreiche, asiatische, Sword and Sorcery Fantasy! Durch fast das ganze Buch zieht ein anhaltender Kampf. Eine gut zusammengewürfelte Truppe aus den unterschiedlichsten Charakteren und ein schier unmöglicher Plan. Wenn die Figuren noch etwas mehr Tiefe gehabt hätten wären es die vollen 5 gewesen aber unterhaltsam ist es auf alle Fälle!

This is a little kafka-esque, because in the end there was never a choice, never any hope. I did like the comradeship the 'heroes' grew into and would have liked to see them many retire together one day. And I liked the stories of heroic deeds and ghosts. The fighting was way too much for me, sadly I fight fighting scenes both in books and in movies to be utterly boring. (So, I'm not saying they're done badly in any way, just that fighting scenes in general are not of any interest to me.) And the end was... Weird, twisted and to me, as I said, rather kafka-esque. And while I do like Kafka, for this story I would have hoped to be granted a different ending.
