There are a rare few in this world with the power to touch the hearts of all those they meet. Stones and Sky, this was all over the place. So much happened and during such a short period of time and to be honest I don't really know how I feel about that. There's something I am most furious about Marc's pointless death. He was by far my favorite and he was just finding his way back to happiness again!, something I really could've done without the whole ending around Tristan and Cécile, that was completely bonkers. I hated everything about it, a clean cut after her death or even after his departure and her announcing the pregnancy would've been something daring but like this it just annoyed me to no end. Okay, Alex was kinda cool, we didn't get to know him but I liked what I read and like I said, it was all over the place. This series started off really good, I loved the beginning of their story but I think I would've enjoyed a standalone more in this case. The beginning held a whole world waiting to be explored. The second book already felt really different, the third again had a completely different feeling to it. Each change left me behind a bit... I don't know if "puzzled" is right word but It's the only one I can come up with. The longer I had to observe Tristan and Cécile the more irritated I got. I couldn't manage to care for them, the only character who could really get my attention was Marc. Despite all that, I was always curious about how everything would progress so dnf-ing never was an option and the writing style made finishing this really easy. But in the end I found myself liking every book a bit less. Might have been me just losing focus and interest, I don't really know. But I still liked this finale overall and this won't be my last book by Danielle L. Jensen for sure.
