There's not much left for me to say about this! This was amazing! Short, yet entertaining. Well paced and well fleshed out. A murder mystery with a tinge of fantasy and conflicting morals. LOVED IT. Ruby was an entertaining and lovely main character with her heart at the right spot. And while I often feel like stubborn characters can become annoying over time, with Ruby, it was the exact opposite. What was also lovely is that despite being this fantastic girlboss, she still had her flaws and still relied on the help of her allies and friends. BUT WHO REALLY TOOK THE CAKE IN THIS BOOK WAS PETER! MY GOD! In a literary world that is mostly dominated by broody, morally-grey bad boys Peter felt so damn refreshing! His sweet and passionate character made me swoon for him right from the first line I read from his perspective. And it was so damn interesting to see him battle with the inner conflict of figuring out what is right and wrong in own moral compass!
