Interesting theme and setting and I liked Yelena! The characters were interesting and the whole world and setting has a lot of potential. Valek as the love interest was something that suprised me kinda. For me the spark and tension in their relationship wasn’t really there. I would read the second book and overall this book was ok. Not sure what it is that let me cold while reading it. I had issues with the characters not being described enough. I don’t even know how old valek is. That’s leading to a lack of imagination for me. Overall a good story but with weaknesses for me.
