In the beginning I thougt this was a funny little murder-mystery novel but I realized the story wasn‘t what I expected and it is way more than that. It begins quite light-heartedly with a case Christopher wants to solve, but chapter by chapter you find out that the story is not really about who killed the dog, but the challenges in his life and the people around him (especially his parents) who have their own problems but also seem to be quite overwhelmed by Christophers special characteristics. It is rather sad and I often felt really sorry for him. The plot itself is still very entertaining, interesting and suspensful. The book is written from the perspective of an autistic teenager which makes it very interesting because that shows how his autistic mind works and what obstacles he is confronted with in his world. Even the structure of the book mirrors the protagonists mind and thoughts. Even thogh it‘s hard for Christopher to express his feelings and he perceives the world very differently from how most people do, his style of writing is so heart-warming and extremely enjoyable. It is an easy-read and i liked that it has short chapters and pictures (plus i‘m in love with the cover). Over all I have to say that I loved this book and I strongly recommend to read it. (4⭐️)
