The whole book was really well written and I enjoyed reading it, especially because I love all this boarding school novels. However, the plot was something… different. I had always the feeling to know how it would end and I kinda suspected… everyone (funny thing: everyone besides Dr Patel) and I also suspected the real murderer towards the end of the book, BUT the whole HOW AND THE END, nah I would have never thought about that. I really don’t know how to rate this book. On the one hand, it is a 4,5, on the other a 3. I liked the whole plot, because you were able to expose the murderer yourself if you paid attention to the details, but I were never (besides the last 10 pages) glued to the book. However, I really enjoyed reading it and I liked this kind of crime, even though the end kinda made me sad 🥲🥀

BIGGEST plottwist at the end omg … a bit TOO fast paced for me … the people just kept dying and dying … I didn’t get as hooked as with other books - sadly I‘m also not a fan of books that don’t end with a definite solution … like here, where Liz did not get arrested or suspected of murder or anything - she just gets away with it…that bugs me a bit tbh

Während des Lesens hatte ich verschiedene Theorien wer es sein könnte. Wirklich sicher war ich mir nie. Als am Ende rauskam wer die Morde begangen hat... Ich hatte zwar auch schon an die Person gedacht, aber auf Grund bestimmter Aktionen/Gespräche der Person dachte ich nicht das die Person es wirklich ist. Sorry ich weiß das klingt verwirrend, ich will nur nicht spoilern. Ich habe nicht alles so ganz verstanden, also wie das jetzt mit den Infos zusammenpasst, oder wann bestimmte Dinge passiert sind, oder auch wie das funktioniert. Aber trotzdem war das Buch gut. Aber irgendwie hat mich manches gestört, so dass es nur 4 Sterne werden. Ich empfehle das Buch trotzdem weiter.

Bin schockiert- kranker Plot, hab zwar ein bissen mit gerechnet aber dennoch shook af Würde am liebsten 3,5 Sterne geben, da ich teilweise bisschen Wattpad vibes bekommen habe, aber wenn man solche Bücher mag definitiv worth a read!! Ägnelt bisschen "if we were villains", nur eben eher eine gute Wattpad Story, statt ein Shakespeare Drama <3

It's giving Wattpad Murder Mystery, stereotypical characters and stereotypical plot. The whole reveal of the murderer made me sigh, because it just wasn't innovative. It was an easy read but wasted my time tbh. Some characters had potential (like Kat) but none of them really developed in the story. I told one friend about the book and i described it as the show "elité" just less sexy and more British. It's not an compliment.

Meh. Plot twist was amazing. The beginning was awesome. But the second third and part of last Third didn’t have me at the edge of the seat. It didn’t gave me this „I have to continue reading to know what happens next“ feeling which I usually look for when reading mystery. Still a nice short read.

Win Lose Kill Die, Cynthia Murphy 1/5 DNF at 56% Ugh, what a bummer!!! The whole reason I bought this book was the first page. It sounded so interesting, but oh man… Judging now, I just CANNOT. BE. BOTHERED. (Jesus, that sounds mean, I’m sorry.) It could’ve been so good, but instead it felt underwhelmingly flat. (Where is the spike???) The story feels so rushed which takes away the anticipation and excitement… And why is there more romance going on than thriller/mystery action??? >>>Besides that the constant use of “Er…” became really irritating at some point…<<<

I would give the book a solid 3.5 / 5 ⭐ I think I am more of an "adult" crime of type but it was still a nice read. The middle was a bit slow for me, so thats why I "only" gave 3.5 instead of 4 and I was tempted to only give 3 BUT the ending was mind-blowing so I gave a half bonus star. The ending is really unexpected and worth the reading! If you are a fan of YA crime/mystery like AGGGTM then I would recommend this book to you!

I do not know what to say I mean should I be happy or not? I seriously don't know like how could she do that??? Like she was not catched and just enjoys her life but at the same time I love this book like I love Cole and Elizabeth togehter yk but I cried when some people died like they did not deserve that... This book is different from others

Es ist so ein gutes Buch ❗ Cynthia Murphy hat eine unglaublich schönen Schreibstil, der eine gemütliche Atmosphäre in eine Young Adult murder mystery Geschichte bringt. 😩 Man muss sich kurz reinlesen (und mit kurz mein ich kurz, die Kapitel sind so kurz das man nicht mal bemerkt wie schnell die Zeit vergeht🤯 außerdem trägt es dazu bei das man sich fühlt als würde man schnell weiter kommen), sobald man drinne ist kann man es wortwörtlich in einem lesen beenden. Die Charaktere sind dazu unglaublich sympathisch. Und ❗kleiner SPOILER❗die meisten überleben das nicht. (spoiler vorbei) Man konnte so gut mit Rätseln wer der oder die Täter:in ist. 🐭 Zuerst habe ich gedacht das der plot sich als bisschen langweilig rausstellt, ABER ich hab mich geirrt und es gab eine entscheidende Sache, neben mir so vielen verschiedenen Spuren die zu fast jedem führten, die den oder die Täter:in entlarvt hat. :O Außerdem fand ich den kleinen Romance Teil im Buch sehr erfrischend und so unglaublich süß. ✨ Zusammengefasst: sehr gut - lies es 😌

Ich fand es an sich ein guter Thriller für zwischendurch, aber mehr auch nicht, da ich das Buch an sich einfach zu kurz fand um überhaupt richtig reinzukommen. Hin und wieder mochte ich dass es eher kurz geschrieben war, aber manchmal hätte ich mir halt das ein oder andere detaillierter gewünscht. Das Englisch war okay, an manchen Stellen eher schwieriger, aber trotzdem verständlich. Es war ein gutes Buch für zwischendurch, aber mehr auch nicht, da ich die Story an sich für mehr nicht so spannend fand, aber vielleicht werde ich irgendwann nochmal eines ihrer Bücher eine Chance geben <3
