In diesem Jugendbuch folgt man Lynda, wie sie das letzte Schuljahr und ihre Identitätsfindung navigiert. Neben interfamiliären Konflikten findet man hier auch hoffnungsvolle Blicke in die Zukunft. Einen großen Teil des Buches geht es um die Erfüllung des Traumes vom Kunststudium und was dafür alles nötig ist. Es ist auf jeden Fall eine niedliche Geschichte für zwischendurch. Sie sorgt für gute Unterhaltung und eine gewisse Leichtigkeit. Dabei wird es aber nicht langweilig. Der Schreibstil ist stellenweise gewöhnungsbedürftig, da im Fleißtext auch mal große zeitliche und inhaltliche Sprünge erfolgen, die man nicht als solche wahrnehmen kann. Wenn man sich daran gewöhnt hat, kommt man damit aber gut klar.

Oh to be a teenager again and full of emotions that feel absolutely justified - honestly, there are YA books that make me roll my eyes and there are YA books like these in which the emotions feel so relatable so props to this book for feeling authentic ... and containing so many emotions. (This doesn't mean that the prota's emotions are always justified but I did like that she is a flawed character who tends to overreact and has to reflect on her actions.) I guess aspec sapphic romance is my favorite kind of romance and this one was extremely cute. The flirting was awesome. Their aspec identity isn't really discussed here but honestly, I don't mind it being just a part of who they are without influencing the plot. I also loved how the main conflicts focused on family which a) led to less unnecessary drama and b) to a bigger role of the very interesting family relations. Just don't expect the romance overshadowing everything here.

tbh in the beginning it was interesting and i was intrigued but this is supposed to be a romance book and there was almost no romance or development between the couple. the characters had no depth except that they all had different art passions and the mc is selfish. in the end this turned into a very boring book where i ended up skipping most of the lines.

Lynda: sie war der energiegeladene Protagonistin. Sie wusste immer was sie wollte, auch wenn es falsch war. sie wollte mit dem Kopf durch die Wand. Auch mal etwas neues, denn meist sind die Protagonistinnen eher ein ruhiger Typ. Hat mir recht gut gefallen. Angela: sie war der ausgeglichene part. Die Ruhe in Person. Sie ist selten wütend geworden und hat immer die Logik gesucht . auch ein sehr angenehmer Charakter. Lieblingsszene: das gemeinsame austauschen über das Game. Diese szenen waren immer sehr interessant und aufschlussreich. Außerdem könnte man dort sehr gut, die verschiedenen Interessen und stärken erkennen. Schreibstil: war sehr gut. Ich bin durch die Seiten geflogen. Ein wirklich sehr angenehmer Schreibstil. Minuspunkt: das ganze Drama zum Ende hin. Durch Lyndas Sturkopf sind einige Probleme entstanden,die mit einer guten Kommunikation gelöst hätten werden können. Aber ich glaub,dies war wichtig für die Charaktere Entwicklung. Deshalb nur ein kleiner Minuspunkt. Zusammenfassend: hat mir das Buch super gefallen. Außer dem minuspunkt,war es wirklich super. Auch war es wirklich interessant. Und man kann sich auch selbst gut in die Charaktere hineinversetzen. Wir hatten doch alle Probleme unseren Weg für die Zukunft zu finden.

A wholesome and introspective Coming of Age story! I expected a bit more romance, but the book is great for what it is. We have a beautifully fleshed out main character with realistic struggles, learning how to connect with the people around her and with herself. The little hints to Otome Games were very cute! I would have loved to see even more references. Over the course of the book, there's lots of interesting takes on creativity and artistic work strewn in (For example, 'Are certain kinds of creative hobbies more valid than others?'). I would have loved a more thorough exploration of some of those ideas, but then again, the book would be far over 300 pages then. A quite solid read!
