Quirky, fun, bookish vampire vibe with some serious undertones and darker elements. While the plot was more than a bit ridiculous at times it made for some interesting humor. A book in a book is always a bold move but here it worked. I just wasn’t the biggest fan of the romances which felt cringey and not believable. The dialogue had some weak parts too. But all in all this was fun and silly.

„The whole idea of a ‚hero‘ is so complicated, because heroes put other people before themselves, which is actually a very feminine quality. But heroes are usually men who wouldn’t be able to pull off their heroic feats if it weren’t for the support and sacrifices of women. And when a woman prioritizes herself in that way, she tends to be portrayed as a villain.“
