After a very public breakup where her ex, Caleb, told her she is both, a.) boring, and b.) stuck in her ways, Savannah Moore decides her mom’s company cruise to Alaska is the perfect opportunity to show people that she can be fun. One new thing a day should be enough to prove to others, and herself, that she isn’t “Moore the Bore.”Stepping out of her comfort zone isn’t easy, especially since her long-time nemesis, Tanner Woods, is also on the ship. His family and hers are friends, and Tanner knows her—and her true self—better than she’d like to admit. When he learns of her plan, Tanner offers to help Savannah be adventurous and encourages her to try absolutely everything—zip lining and dogsledding, hiking the bear-infested Alaskan wilderness, late-night karaoke, and a polar plunge. Savannah will win Caleb back by showing him just what he’s missing.Except after spending so much time with Tanner, soon she’s not sure Caleb is the one she wants anymore…
This was such a lovely story!! A good solid four stars for me🤗. This review is probably gonna contain spoilers‼️ and I’ll try to keep it not that long haha. First we have our girl Savannah Moore, a 17 year old who loves Astronomy, math, legos, running and her simple strict bubble of living. Then we have Tanned Woods, a 17 year old boy who also loves Astronomy, football, party’s, history and has been Savannahs nemesis since their entire life. First of all, I always love the concept of the family’s being great friends since always and in this case also, coworkers. Savannah's mom and Mrs. Woods are going on a company cruise where each can bring their family with to Alaska. After the very public humiliating break up, Savannah decides to use this trip to prove herself to Caleb that she’s not 'boring' or 'stuck in her ways' - but as we know, this trip goes very different than imagined🥴. Tanner and Savannah spend a lot of time together during this trip - they make a deal: Tanner helps her to be more open to things, try new things and take some risks while she helps him pick out a major for him for college. Spoiler alert: he didn’t even really want her help, he just wanted to help her🙈. I must say, they both had suchhhh a good chemistry together and match really well! I was grinning when they finally kissed and later on finally confessed to each other about what they really want. During this trip, they experienced so many things - from tram riding, to dogsledding, jumping in the ocean, get in contact with a grizzly bear, rafting and so so much more. I honestly loved his nickname 'S'more' for her🥹🥹 a mix of her first and last name and the play on words with 'S’mores' haha. They really were great for each other - he helped her to try new things, be more open minded, take some risks to experience fun and really live, while she helped him to stop putting on a facade by acting like the typical 'dumb, funny jock who can never be serious' because he believed he would never meet everyone’s expectations of him, so he didn’t even try to prove them wrong☹️. I also really liked Jordan’s and Savannahs friendship, they were cute. Caleb and Savannah talked and decided to just stay friends, I’m glad they didn’t make a big hateful drama about it😭. I can’t believe I’m already getting older than the protagonists of books, even though I’m only 18 haha. And one other thing I need to mention, as an almost 5'8 girl myself, I LOVE that she was a tall 5'8 girl because YES!! we need more tall girls/women appreciation in these romance books I swear. But yeah.. I definitely had a fun time reading it! 🤗🤗
