. . I really enjoyed following Whitney on her adventure in a Semester abroad in Paris. Her explorations made me remember my first trip to Paris I made this year. I felt like it would be only perfect to read this book this year and it was. I especially loved the overall design of this book and all the lists and maps. The love story was written very sweet and hit my emotions sometimes. This felt like a delight to read. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 3.5 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀? ⭐ I really enjoyed reading this book and experiencing Whitney's exceptional personality and her radiance. Sadly sometimes it was hard for me to emotionally connect to her and I wished the end was a bit more elaborate and slower. It felt like I couldn't enjoy the last adventure as much. Plus I would've loved to hear more adventures but all in all this novel was really sweet and I can recommend it.

My first time reading something with a black protagonist and I loved it so much. This in my opinion is the best book to read in late summer/autumn. It just has those cozy vibes. The ending felt a little unrealistic to me that's why I had to subtract one star but all in all a very nice reading experience. Finished it in a day. - no spice - YA - cozy romance - Parisian love story - black author + protagonists
