Omg, that book was probably one of the cutest second-chance romances I've ever read! I loved every bit of it. You get character growth, you get banter, aaand you get slow burn -what more could you ask for? Love, love, love. Totally underhyped!

I think I loved reading this book just as much as reading Falon Ballard‘s first novel, Lease on Love. Lana is a famous writer who‘s kind of stuck in the wrong job and if that wouldn’t be enough, her ex Seth turns up at her office, trying to steal her the job of her dreams. It‘s not only that I fell in love with Lana and Seth right away, but also with the connection they had from the very beginning. Even tho they broke each other‘s hearts, they still had some sense to it and agreed on the competition their boss Natasha pushed them into. I loved the way Lana got to find herself through the competition and through the tasks she had. Makes one really want to go on a self-searching-trip too. Finding her way, and finding love at the end of the way too, made this such a cozy, comfy and soothing read. I will totally look out for Falon Ballard from now on, since both of her novels really hit home for me.
