I did not like this book quite as much as Blackout/All clear. Maybe the medieval setting could not get me so interested. And the in parallel narrated epidemic in 2050es Oxford was from a post-2020 view also not so novel and gripping as it may have been when the book was written. Yes there were some moving and touching parts - and also some quite funny comic relive, but most of the time I found it very dragging and even boring.
