A place you're not meant to enter, but you do so anyway.

Simply amazing. My boyfriend recommended it to me after loving this book himself. I couldn't stop reading it. Afterwards we sat down and discussed the different meanings of the ending. Please read it if you live sci-fi and strange dystopian vibes. Read it if you ever felt like the universe moved on without you.

Alien stuff is scattered across the 'zone'. Stalker venture through it to pick it up to sell it and get killed by weird anomalies while they are at it. I've picked up this book since it seems to be the basis for one of my favorite games "S.T.A.L.K.E.R". It was not what i was expecting but after the first half it was intriguing anyway. The book focuses not so much on the action within the zone but on the difficulties to get into it without getting caught, the items that could be found in the zone and the change that happened to the nearby city since the zone became the zone. A fantastic classic that coined the beloved term stalker.
