I had no idea where this was going to go when I picked it up. I'd barely read the synopsis. All I heard was space pirates and next thing I knew I had already bought it. You know how it is. Revenger was definitely fun though. I liked our protagonist Fura Nes and loved watching her development from shy society girl to fierce pirate out for revenge. Her gradual friendship with Prozor and their elaborate scheme were amazing as well. So was the whole concept behind the villain, Bosa Sennen. Just loved how everyone important in this was female. Bottom line: this book is full of badass female pirates! Not too sure about the world building though - I'll admit I had some struggles with that. But that's maybe just because I'm used to space stories working very differently in the past.
